Dec 30, 2022 · On December 9, 2022, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority ( FINRA) halted trading and quoting in Meta Materials (MMAT) Inc.’s Series A preferred shares (OTC Symbol: MMTLP). Several weeks after the halt of MMTLP stocks by FINRA, investors have yet to receive a response to their petitions, a legal response or update. Since the spinoff of NextBridge was a distribution that was 100% the value of MMTLP, the ex-date should have been Dec. 15, which was the day after the distribution date. The two days between the record date and payable date should have traded "due-bills", according to FINRA'S rules, with trading halted and not quoted ex-dividend.
