From my understanding the answer is No, pierce under performa vs almost every single high level target compared to zinogre lbg and magnamalo. Take a look at the bullet hitZones of a monster to see if pierce is viable. Hey im a little late to the party but for a spread build look into the Sinister Volley 2, Shell Studed S armor with Rhenoplas S gloves, and a trinket with artillery. Gives spread, normal, and piercing skills, Longer range on your shots skill, and sticky ammo bonus. Element pierce ammos are currently destroying the meta, most monsters just die in less than a minutes in speedrun, and this is not just for element pierce but for all weapons. The reason is that element was buffed a lot with many moves dealing more elements, element skills are no so easy to slot with the new decorations, etc.You will destroy every Monster realy Fast with this OP Build

The build I compared was: ab 7, cb 3, wex 3, pierce 3, rapid 3, reload fastest, recoil low, ammo up 2, peak 1, MoH 1, bl 1, burst 1. Both using critical fire power and silencer, with 6 qurio upgrades - malz is 4 into rampage deco, 2 raw …Sticky HBG does more DPS because you can shit out stickies with a 4 size clip. However it's pretty immobile so it can take some getting used to. Sticky LBG does around the same damage as sticky HBG but less DPS because only clip size 2. It uses the Magnamalo gun that has a decent ability to fire slicing and spread so you have something to do ...
