The standard build uses either magi for max heal and barrier (overkill on most scenarios and only recommended to carries really bad groups) or marshal/shaman for 10k dps with still decent support (recommended for experienced teams). This is GW2 class balance. So, naturally Renegade has one of the top raid DPS benchmarks and is a critical support role for fractals as well. Pretty much PvE god right next to Scourge and Firebrand. I would highly recommend against it. Celestial scourge is at best okay. Most definitely not for high end content - though in wvw, if used right, can be quite good as it has decently good sustain, damage mitigation, and damage. For heal scourge you generally have 3 options: Magi, plaguedoctor, and half-n-half of marshal and shaman. But this is heal scourge, you have Transfusion.
