A non-ho motor usually makes around 140-150hp, while a HO 302 makes 225hp (stock).Distributor Cap: Acting as the command center, the distributor cap is where all the magic begins. Since I just changed the distributor cap, I am VERY suspicious of the firing order and the placement of the #1 plug wire.
