Distributor cap should have a #1 on it. That's where you start with the #1 plug wire. Follow the above sequence in a counterclockwise direction..

A non-ho motor usually makes around 140-150hp, while a HO 302 makes 225hp (stock).Distributor Cap: Acting as the command center, the distributor cap is where all the magic begins.
