The kick in Dark Souls 3 isn't a guaranteed guard break like DS2 had, yet it's slower than it was in DS1, and even swinging into them won't do you any good, either. Reply more replies ... It's easy to get an Estoc to +10, have 40 dex, a bit of str, 10 int/10 faith and pump the rest into defensive stats/endurance and do very well in every aspect ...IMO, the Estoc is more of a quality weapon. Are you planning on going full Dex? DEX/FTH or DEX/INT? If so, I suggest sticking with the Rapier until you get to the Cleansing Chapel bonfire, and LITERALLY (as in not killing anything) running from the Snowfield bonfire to the Corvian Settlement to pick up the Crow Quills.
